A commissioned livery project turning Matthew Thompson’s ’91 Mazda Miata into an art car. The car had been dubbed ‘The Miaja’ considering the lifted ride height and rally wheels made it suitable for Baja-style off-roading.
The design references his love for motorbikes, specifically 90s/00s motocross graphic designs. The artwork was hand painted onto the body, and logos were applied in vinyl. I also designed and 3D printed a custom Miaja badge for the trunk based off the original script badge.
The car was featured in the Japanese magazine Daytona, issue 370.
